Starting Jan 2019, STR in Cape Cod, MA will be imposed occupancy tax, 14.45% in Province Town, 12.45% in Truro and Wellfleet. The tax meant to pass on to vacationers. Do you think this new tax will stop vacationers coming to Cape Cod?

I've definitely felt a little dip since I added the new tax onto my Home Away listing.  I was almost considering lowering my weekly rate a small amount to offset it but I'm hoping the strong demand for Cape Cod vacations will overcome the tax.  Yet another case of Massachusetts reaching into my pockets.  I'm in Falmouth which is on the other end of the Cape and there is no shark issues here.  Maybe I should consider adding that into my advertising as a shark free area of the Cape.  I'm half kidding but maybe not.  Everytime I tell someone that I'm heading to the Cape for a week they all say "watch out for the sharks".  Steve may have had a valid point in his comment above about shark fears.  I'll have to keep watching it.
