Short term rental companies like Sonder?
I have several properties in Houston that have had investors call me in regards to, asking if they could lease from me, then they'd do STR.
I normally say "no" as I don't want to deal with 59 different STR investors. I might as well have individual tenants. Plus I don't want to mix STR guests with my tenants. But I have leased full buildings or "chunks" of properties to STR investors (say, a 30 unit building made up of 3x 10 unit building. I've leased a full 10 unit of the property to an investor who does STR)
Anyway, sonder reached out to me about a building I have smack dab downtown Houston. I didn't care for them much so we never made a deal. But now I'm buying another larger building downtown and it's perfectly suited for a STR outfit (at least the downstairs units).
I really don't want to reach out to Sonder about this. But I don't know many of their competitors. And I think the deal is too big for some of the investors who do STR with my properties to take on.
So... anyone ever work with any company in this space?
