Alternative to carpet?

Hi All,

I've put in a few offers on STR properties in Maui. Very excited to get started!

One of the units I’m considering is on the top floor and has an amazing ocean view. Unfortunately the AOAO will not allow the carpet, which is in the bedrooms and living room, to be replaced with any other materials. They’re worried about the noise for the downstairs neighbors. I even asked about cork and they said no to that as well.

I really hate the look and cleanliness of carpet. Any recommendations for material or type of carpet that might look a little better and stand up the abuse it will get in a STR?

Jeremy
