Airbnb management companies?

So I recently met someone who has a mixed use property with commercial on the bottom and residential on top. He converted the top apartments to four studios about 360sf each and said that an Airbnb management company furnished it and gave them long term guaranteed leases and that company will also take care of everything related to the units, cleanings, bookings etc. Has anyone ever heard of this? I have an opportunity to buy a mixed use property and would like to try this out. Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

Lucas, myself, and many others on this forum self-manage our short-term rentals from a distance (I have 4, from 200 to 2000 miles away).  You need a good, reliable housekeeper, a good, reliable handyman, and a smart lock.
