Single family home for Airbnb in Bay Area

I recently purchased a single family home and found that an interesting alternative to leasing the house long term would be to post it on Airbnb and other websites to be used as a short term vacation rental. I am currently in the process of furnishing the house so I can make a listing. I have been in contact with several ”airbnb property management” companies so I can be hands off on the project as well even though I know I will be taking a hit to any profit. Does anyone have any experience doing something similar in the East Bay Area?
