Corporate housing - how to get started?

Ada Tor
Posted

I have a house that is remodeled and fully furnished. I was considering going through AirbNb but some of the members here advised against, due to the potential for damage to my (expensive) furnishings. I am also moving out of state, so managing the high turnover would be a challenge.

I am considering making it an "executive" or corporate rental, preferably long-term. I have a family member who I currently employ, who is available to do landscaping and housekeeping on a daily basis, if need be.

As I will be out of state, I would need to have a management company find tenants and manage it.

1. What are the pros/cons of this approach compared to a vacation rental?

2. How can I find a corporate housing management company? (basic search yielded only companies dealing with larger apartment complexes)

3. Should I just go through a regular management company to find tenants for a long-term lease and just make it a fully furnished rental?
