Furnished Student Rentals
Hello BP community,
On the idea of furnished rentals for students, which of these markets would work best: Houston, Austin or somewhere else? (Thought of Texas because long term rentals there are good as backup plan). Also, for this kind of rental, condos or SFH?
Looking to do individual leases per bedroom and include basic furniture and home itens.
Any suggestion on regulations or things to look out for will be appreciated!
Thank you all!

I am up in Dallas and am pro-college renting in theory but do not have any myself. Austin is going to be tough because it is so expensive anyway especially as an out of state investor. Maybe try some of the other college towns like College Station or San Marcos? Honestly if it were me I could do something a little closer to home until I had a good handle on it. College rentals and short term rentals charge higher rates for property management because more work is necessary. Also go with SFH if you can.
If I may ask, if you live in Scarsdale why don't you do this there? You are surrounded by colleges. I went to school on Long Island btw
