Is it beneficial to create a website for a vacation rental?

We are in the process of purchasing a property that is currently used as a vacation rental and listed on VRBO and Flipkey. The sellers have done well just listing the house on these sites. However, because I cannot assume their listing (policy of both sites), I will be starting off with no reviews and am nervous about how that is going to affect bookings. Would it be worth it to create a website for the property or should I list it on a website that specifically lists local vacation rentals?

If anyone has any suggestions about how to keep the home booked without reviews, please share. I would be very grateful!

No discount, just a lower than "regular" price. You can change the prices at any time. Regular price being the one which came out of your market study or the one the seller is successfully using. I don't think you need to discount more than 15% for the first 3 to 6 months.
