Finger Lakes NY Short Term Rentals

I grew up in Western NY and i've been to a bunch of the finger lakes and they are absolutely beautiful, not to mention all the wineries. I've contemplated the idea of trying to find a couple of nice deals with the intention of doing STRs.

Does anybody have any experience doing short term rentals in the finger lakes region? I would love to hear about your experience with it.
