Renting your own rental

I have another question to pose to the group. We are in the final stages of purchasing our first vacation rental and we have a question about the logistics around person use of the rental. Within out property management contract we are able to use the property whenever we choose and simply pay the cleaning fee after use. However, I am wondering if it is financially better for use to rent it, get the kickback and write off the expense as we would with any other rental? Any advise would be great or any input from other members on how they use their nations rentals for person use would be appreciated! Thanks.
