VRBO for Regular Rental Home

Good Afternoon, I'm purchasing a SFR that I will rehab. It's an older bungalow w/ a lot of charm and potential. The home is in an area that is not a vacation destination however there are large sports complexes nearby for kids baseball and soccer activities. It is also a very family based area that I think would book during holidays, festivals, etc. I know the local hotels-Hampton Inn types charge 175-200 on these tournament weekends. The home is right in center of downtown so walkable to shops, food, etc.

I want to use the house for our family as well-thus preferring not to put a long term tenant.

Anybody tried it? Love to hear thoughts / feedback.

Thanks a bunch!
