Just saw this article on the HomeAway acquisition that was announced today. What are your thoughts? How do you think this will affect vacation rentals?

This is a good step in the right direction. Now hotels will have to give incentives for people to stay in a small 300sf room for $500 a night vs renting a house in the same area.

The negative is that it will drive rental prices even higher for homes in prime vacation areas. Well, thats only a negative if your a renter an not a owner.
