Temporary Co-Host/Virtual Assistant?
Loosely related 2nd question. Do any of you have a backup plan for managing your property in the case of your unexpected, sudden demise? My other assets, including my primary company, all have plans in place. Nothing yet for who would manage my STR though. I'd hate to see my estate take a hit because suddenly my listing was going unattended for an extended. Thoughts? Thanks.

I doubt you will be able to find a VA or co-host that can help 3-4 days per year. You would need to train them sufficiently for a period of time and no person or company will be excited for a few days a year of pay. If it were me, I would likely do what is mentioned above and block it off those days so you should not have any urgent issues. I would then respond to any inquiries that once a day you get signal.
As for the question of demise, I would find a good local PM and direct your executor to turn it over to them. Most PM's if they even have a contract it is 1 year and Im sure your heir will not want to deal with management duties on day 1 of your death. Let a good PM handle it and then your heir can deal with it the following year if they want.
