Vermont proposing 10% tax on STRs

Hi everyone, if you're an STR owner in Vermont or looking to buy one in Vermont, I wanted to share that the state's Ways and Means Committee is considering imposing a new 10% tax that would be on top of the tourist room and board tax that already exists. This would make STRs pay 19% in taxes. They are considering the legislation and making a decision this week on whether or not to pass it to the next round. If you're opposed to it, I highly recommend you reach out to the committee and voice your concerns.
