Hi! I am going to be adding StayFi to all of our properties this year. Curious if people have seen a big uptick in direct bookings/repeat customers since using it (or other email marketing software).

I like the strategy of being a great host and getting to know your guests to get direct bookings more than using a gimmick tool to capture their email and spam them.

If I were a guest and you made me enter my email for internet access, it would bother me. Come on...I paid you to stay here; don't attach strings to basic amenities.

Airbnb and VRBO are amazing. They are not perfect but help you find that highest paying customer. Being proactive, communicative, and helpful to make sure that your guests have an awesome stay is what gets you repeat business. That's where you're going to capture direct bookings in most cases. Our STR properties are in Maine as well. The summer trips are a family's biggest and perhaps only true family vacation of the year. If you help them make incredible memories with kids and grandkids, get to know them a bit, help them plan something unique and cool, etc., you have a repeat, direct booking customer for life. It's blocking and tackling, slow and steady unless you want to run Facebook ads to get direct bookings.
