Mike's Deal of the Day - Jan 26th

Hey everyone. So seeing as there has been several posts about providing WiFi reliably across a large home or duplex, I figured I would post this deal that starts today at Costco.

https://www.costco.com/tp-link-deco-axe5300-wi-fi-6e-tri-ban...

Costco is selling the TP-Link AXE5300 Deco mesh system for $269.99.

I have these in our primary home. It is 4700sqft, all brick and a massive amount of strapped and rebarred concrete. These have been great for us. Easy to setup and I used all three to provide coverage to our house. With all the rebar in the house, it can almost act like a Faraday cage when it comes to signals.

We get great coverage throughout the house and outside to my shop which is about 50' away from the main router. That is through a concrete wall. I get nearly full signal.

I will say that if you have a smaller place, you use one or 2. Save the other one just in case of a dead unit. Any of the units can be the main router. Trying to place all three in a smaller area, you will get some crosstalk with devices moving from one unit to another. Each of ours it at least 25 feet from the next.

The app is pretty decent, but not fully featured like a pro tool.

You could also use this in a duplex with one unit in each place. You can also setup different SSID's as well.

Hey @Jon Martin, so this is the router portion. All three units can be used as the main router while the others connect to either it or each other to create the mesh.

You will still need a cable or DSL modem.
