I am using Avalara to manage my sales & use tax certificates, Licenses, Returns and remittance besides what Airbnb remits. They do an okay job but it still involves more work from me then I have time for. Anyone have a better solution or service?

Thank you.

How many units do you have? We have accounts open with the state and the counties we operate it and remit directly.  Even with 90+ doors it is pretty easy.

I have 2. But I'm needing just the Florida city, county and state taxes managed. I don't want a property manager. I hired and fired 5. None of them understand or care about quality control and delivering 5 star service.

Oh, not trying to sell you on our PM services.  Our Office Manager in conjunction with accountant remit the taxes directly for all of our units but I see the emails come in from the state and counties about our accounts and payment remittance.  I would call the county and state taxation offices or go on their sites and set up accounts.  It is not too complicated to do

We do our own. With 2 units it shouldn't take you more than a few minutes if you've been tracking your income in something as basic as a spreadsheet. All done online. Do the state sales tax first, then your county option tax if it has one. Didn't know any cities were able to collect an additional tax beyond the county option but surely they're using something online.

Alternatively, nix any stays that aren't AirBnb/VRBO. Then you don't have to worry about submitting any of it.

I don't have the desire or time to do on my own. So Avalara is my best option so far.

Please DM me when you have a chance with the cost of managing just my city, county and state sales taxes.  If I would do that with you, I would likely have you do my Federal tax as well and keep it all in one house. Thank you.
