Unfortunate news for those looking to rent their ADU. They also are now requiring permits, notifying neighbors, background checks, 500K insurance policy.

I assume renting a casita for >30 days is still a go?

I'm curious if they are going to limit the number of permits that they give out? The article doesn't mention this...

If I were in Phoenix with an ADU I'd look at doing a mid-term rental. Rentals greater than 30 days don't appear to be impacted.
