Managing the slow period

My STR is in the Midwest in a small beach town and near a golf course. We opened in Aug and was booked every weekend until after labor day. What are you all doing to increase bookings for the slow period?

In real estate i have found slow periods are ONLY overcome by increased marketing.  During those times everyone slows down, but the key is to actually increase
