Combining STR strategy with rent-by-the-room
Say a company rents a home to put their employees in when in town on business, for 1 to 6 weeks. They pay the homeowner each week based on how many rooms will be rented that week. Assuming the company is paying the rental fee each week, not the guests, would this constitute a STR (for tax purposes, cost seg, etc) or LTR?
