Anyone interested in partnering? Modular housing, short term, oregon coast

Kaylee Carpenter
Posted

Hi all,

Came across this ~2 acre parcel of land. Would love to put a couple sustainable, modular homes here and rent short term. It has great views and is close to a lot of cool spots on the Oregon coast.

I'm new to this strategy, so I'd love a partner who's done this before.

I'd be your boots on the ground!

Cheers,
Kaylee

Quote from @Michael Baum:

Hey @Kaylee Carpenter, there is a moratorium on STR permits until July 1 2023. No new permits for STR in Tillamook county.

So this would be a non-starter right now. I would contact the county and see if they are planning on extending the moratorium.

Great Advice! Yes, without question do some due diligence on the city and county websites for the areas that interest you for vacation rental usage on the OR Coast. Small targets and getting smaller, as regulation has increased 100 fold. If you come across anything of interest, let us know and our team can at least help clarify eligibility. There are a few areas without regulations and a few 'loop holes' or 'door openers.' In fact there's a 2/2 very picturesque turn key beach/lake home eligible for STR usage a few hours south of there for +/- $350k that is worth a strong consideration with a friendly 10% down investor loan..Closing just in time for Summer ;) Cheers.
