Rental arbitrage in Los Angeles

Posted

Hello,

Is there anyone doing rental arbitrage in Los Angeles?  If so how has it been/what’s it like? Is it possible to do with Rent control?

Hey Anna,

You cannot do vacation rentals with rent controlled units. Plus Los Angeles put rules in place that you have to live in the property 6 months out of the year (they are assuming you are the owner). I would look outside of Los Angeles for this strategy. LA has really put restrictions on this.

Good luck!
