Best towns in Utah for a STR/Vacation Home

Hello all,

My family and I are native Floridians and we love it out west! Two years ago we visited the National Parks of Utah and loved the area, the landscape, outdoor activities, etc. What else I love is it's central proximity to the rest of the Western US. Within a days drive I can almost be to any of the other National Parks or the west coast. I'm looking for some advice as to where in Utah would be the most beneficial place to purchase a vacation home I can also use as a STR. I feel like the, St. George, Hurricane, Cedar City, even Kanab areas seems to make pretty good sense, but I want to know where's the best? I figured what better place than here could I find that answer?! I realize this is a pretty wide area, but I'm open to basically anywhere, even further east near Moab, or north to the SLC area could be an option if that is better from an investment standpoint. I want to be in close proximity to the NP's, and an area with views of the mountains would be great. I don't need a bustling area, but some restaurants, grocery stores, a gym, etc within a 20 or so minute drive would be ideal. Most important would be a place where it could thrive as a STR.

I will be in Vegas for a convention the week of January 22, and plan to rent a car and head that direction for the 25th through 27th to scout some areas. I'm looking for an investor friendly realtor with knowledge of the STR market in those areas that could possibly even property manage once a purchase is made. Thank you for your time!
