AirbNb Arbitrage in Charlotte NC

Wes Mccullar
Posted

Good morning BP!

My wife and I just recently moved to Charlotte and are looking to expand our AirBnb Business in 2023. Currently we own 2 properties that are doing well, and my wife has begun co-hosting other peoples properties and she is doing amazing at it (Superhost & 100% 5 star reviews since March 22). yes, I'm bragging on my wife a little :). Just very proud of her since she didn't have much belief in herself when we started this.

Now we are looking to begin the Arbitrage method to add more listings to her co-hosting portfolio. Can any of you who have experience with this in the Charlotte market let us know your thoughts and feedback, as well as recommend which apartment's complexes allow the arbitrage method?

Thank you all in advance for your insightful feedback, and we hope you all have a wonderful Holiday with your families!

@Wes Mccullar welcome to CLT! A few people I've connected with have had success. Spoke with 3 homeowner in the last few months who's expressed interest to sub-lease since they struggled to lease their home on their own. IMO, Charlotte has and will continue to have these opportunities; however, HOA's have been tightening up to place restrictions against this use case - it's fairly easy to find out if that's the case (or not). Happy to chat when you have some time.
