Baltimore - Can We Only Airbnb at Our Primary Residence?

Hello Everyone,

I want to get your experience regarding Airbnb in Baltimore City. The rules for Airbnb in Baltimore appear strict online. Is it correct you can only Airbnb at your primary residence? I do not understand the logic behind this rule. Please share your positive or negative experiences. I have a client seeking an STR in Baltimore. I think a long-term rental seems a better option based on what I have read online about STR rules in Baltimore. Thank you all for your input.

Replied

I was part of the Baltimore Host Coalition during the ruling, and it was basically pushed by hotels.

Only grand fathered investment properties were allowed at the time ( I kept mine because of it), to be honest once it is issued I dont thing Baltimore City is double checking it but I would not buy something just to do STR.

But you can do 90 days or over, there are good amount of corporate people, travelling nurses etc..
