Utility question for furnished housing
Utility question for furnished housing. So on a furnished house that you are leasing month-to-month or however long the tenant wants to stay with utilities included can you limit how much utilities are used? Basically the question is can you place a limit on how much Electricity a person uses? So let’s say you lease your furnished rental to Fred and his family. The utilities are included so Fred and his family leave windows open cut the AC down to 60 and run up a large power bill. Can you ask Fred to pay you toward the power bill for any utility bill over a Pre-agreed-upon amount? Has anyone ever experienced something like this or have insight?

Sure you could do that. Just build it into the lease or just charge enough so that it doesn't matter.
