Pet Policy a Bad Idea if you Have Nice Furniture?
This is regarding a question re-hashed many times over on these forums, but I wanted to ask it again in the context of this property.
I have a 2 Bed, 2 Bath property with wood floors, so the main concern with dogs is how they will damage my Lazyboy couches, or how they tax my cleaner.
So far I have had good luck and mindful guests, but is an open pet policy with a 50 dollar pet fee a good idea?
The cabin is on top of a private mountain with plenty of acreage, so I wanted to allow pets since they will have open range.
However, I suspect they will really wear down my couches over time.
Thanks for any advice!

I am an animal lover, but anti-pet when it comes to rentals. If you choose to go that route, I would raise your fee, especially at that nice place you have....$50 just sounds like not enough. Put it all into a separate account so you have a slush fund when you do (maybe) have an incident.....
