Kentucky Bourbon Trail STR Prospects

Hi all... in researching markets for our first STR - someone suggested the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. I have been told its a very popular location for people in the surrounding states. Has anyone had any success or pitfalls here? I went to college in Louisville, but haven't been back in a while, so it peeked my interest.
