Hi, All! I am looking into several trendy areas around Pittsburgh to invest in STR properties. What areas do you recommend? What research tools do you recommend to find those areas? I am a SFR investor today but I would like to get into STR investments, also opened to partnering up :-)

Hey Dan

A few areas I would recommend looking into for a possible STR deal without totally breaking the bank would be...

Mt. Washington - Trendy spot now for sure. Bars, restaurants, overlooks on Grandview Ave. to see whole city. Super convenient location, easy access to town.

Millvale - Cool, vibrant area close to Lawerenceville, Strip, Downtown, etc. Also Mr. Smalls theatre is there which has many high profile concerts year long and a big attraction. Brewery, bars, shops, quick bites.

Upper Greenfield - Close to probably the best park in Pgh (Schenley), close to hospitals/universities, etc.

Those are just a few to name. Areas like East Liberty, Friendship, Bloomfield, Lawerenceville, North Side I think are going to be your "trendiest" but you'll be paying for it. So depends a lot on budget. Hope that helps.
