Where to Find Which Parts of San Diego Allow STR

I plan on starting my STR journey in San Diego this month but I'm not quite sure which

parts of the city allows STR. Where can I find out this information? Navigating through the

City of San Diego government website has been a bit confusing. Are there other sites that 

would help me clarify where I can airbnb units in San Diego?

STRs in SD aren't based on zoning like most cities- they recently passed a very restrictive ordinance and it's based on a lottery system.  I would avoid STRs in San Diego city limits.  There are other cities in San Diego county that are much more friendly to STRs.
