Type of home for Galveston, TX

I'd like to buy my first STR this year. My budget is currently 35k for the down payment so I'm going to do a second home loan and focus on more affordable markets like Galveston. What types of homes are good for STR investing in Galveston? I've seen beach homes, historic homes, and everyday homes. The everyday homes are in my budget and I'm wondering if these would perform well or if I need to concentrate on the beach homes. Is 35k even enough during these crazy market times?
