What's the best way to to transfer your STR into an LLC?

I am closing on a property in Desert hot Springs next month as a vacation home (10%)

Ideally, I would like to put this property into an LLC for liability purposes. Has anyone done this before?

Should I focus on closing on the property first before setting up an LLC?

You do not need an LLC for one STR that has a mortgage.

If you don't get LLC they can go after your personal properties especially if your house paid off or holing lots of equity or heavy in cash.

Unlikely unless you plan on doing something shady or not taking care of your properties.

Your mortgage will make it undesirable to sue. You can add an umbrella policy if your losing sleep over someone sueing you for cause.

I waited till I had more than a dozen paid off properties before I set up asset protection.
