Is My Place a Good House for Traveling Nurses/Mid-term Renters?

Hello!

I own a 1B/1B condo in Arlington Heights, IL. How would I go about finding out whether it is a good mid-term rental candidate for traveling nurses or business people? An opportunity presented itself for me to rent another unit in the same building for a low cost, and I am considering renting that unit for myself and opening up mine fully furnished to mid-term renters.

Help!

Hey Jillyan! Do you live within 15 minutes of a large hospital? If you do it’s probably a good option for travel nurses. Check sites like Furnished Finder to see who else is renting their place for a similar purpose. There’s also a lot of Facebook groups specifically for travel nurses to find housing. I’d check there and search your city within the group to see if there’s demand, or just post and ask.

You can do the same on Airbnb by selecting the extended/long term stay option and seeing how many others are renting their place to similar travelers.

    Hope this helps!
