Accounting and Bookkeeping for your STR.

My husband and I own 2 Short Term Rentals in Canada, I am accountant (CPA). I have set-up and manage the accounting needs for our rentals.  Is there is a market to offer accounting software set-up, automation and monthly booking keeping/accounting services to other property owners? How many of you outsource or would outsource this part of the business in order to free up more of your valuable time to grow your business?

I don’t think you’ll find a free program that will be any better.  I use QuickBooks Online which works great, if you’re a bit accounting savvy.  If you own more than one property,  utilizing the Plus version of the program allows you to create classes for each property location, allocating revenue and expenses for each, which then allows you to create profit and loss reports for each location.
