For our next “Connections” webinar, your moderators Mary Jo Whelan and Michelle Yang are bringing in attorney Gary Krupka to address the current state of landlord-tenant law regarding collections from tenants not paying rent during Covid-19. Gary will address:
The current status of rent court filings and evictions
The rental agreement 60-day non-renewal letter
Reasons for breach of lease
Tenant hold-overs
The court’s phased re-opening plan, and how it affects landlords and property managers
The impact of the Governor’s Emergency Orders and the CDC Declaration
ABOUT YOUR PRESENTER: A partner at Blibaum & Associates, P.A., Gary Krupka is a trial attorney with over 15 years of experience. He has successfully tried hundreds of cases in District and Circuit Courts across Maryland.
His primary practice areas include representing and advising property managers, including the multi-family industry, but also smaller landlords and managers. He helps with protection and recovery of rental assets, including post-move-out collections and lease enforcement.
Gary enjoys getting to know his clients and guiding them personally from the intake of a case through every step. He has his own rental properties and is personally familiar with the most efficient and effective ways to find solutions as allowable under the law.
