List of my favourite meetups in Toronto and area

Hi Ontarians, I wanted to create an event post to refer to with local Toronto and GTA meetups that meet regularly. I also wanted to make sure I only included events that I know are not just big sales pitches like you will often see with the gurus. These are real events hosted for education and networking purposes.

Here are some of my favourites:

1. The meetup I host. I charge $20, which includes a drink ticket as the event is hosted at a brewery (they also have non-alcoholic drinks). https://www.meetup.com/Toronto-Real-Estate-Investo...

We have speakers come in to educate on different real estate strategies. I like this meetup to be more deal focused, and I present the details of a new wholesale, flip, or rental property I have completed with the numbers at each meetup. We also include time to network and ask questions.

2. https://www.meetup.com/volition/ Hosted by @Ming Lim, who is an excellent investor in the Toronto market. I believe the cost is $20 to attend.

3. https://www.meetup.com/An-Educated-Approach-to-Rea... This meetup is hosted by @Claude Boiron and is focused on bringing in great speakers to educate on different real estate related topics. At the time I write this, first visits are free and subsequent visits are $25.

4. https://www.meetup.com/DurhamREI/events/259391061/ I have heard this is a great meetup in Durham region. It is a bit pricey though, at $60 at the door or a bit cheaper if you sign up for an annual membership.

5. https://thereiteclub.com/ The REITE club is one of the largest meetups and networking events in the GTA, often drawing 100-200 guests to their monthly meetups. Hosted by @Sarah Larbi as well as her co hosts. The cost is currently $30 to attend and can be a little cheaper if you buy a pack of passes.
