H.I.T.(Houston Investment Team) Houston's Inner Loop B.P. Meet Up

H.I.T (Houston Investment Team) is a central (inner loop) meet up for Houston Texas. The name H.I.T. was born out of the foundational idea that Bigger Pockets promotes and that is being helpful to one another and being a "team" to each other as we embark on or further our real estate investment journey.

This meet up is for distinguished investor and the newbie as we all have things to gain and learn from each other.

Our meet up will be held at the Frontier Title Company. They graciously allowed us to use their fantastic office and conference room with views of downtown and memorial park. Their won't be any sales pitches, guru bs, or items for sale. This is purely a meet up for like-minded people looking to share and grow with and through others.

Our September speaker is a private money lender (not a hard money lender) with a background in finance and accounting. He works as a credit analyst for an oil and gas company. After a few years of research and reading about real estate and passive income, he began looking for his first house to buy with no success. Along the way, he met a co-worker who raised investor capital to invest in real estate. He soon learned that this would his niche in the real estate business. He got started in 2016 and has now completed 10 deals in 6 different states with an aggregate value of $450,000. He's learned many valuable lessons along the way that I am excited to share with the group.  He has also attended a training program to understand the risks when lending further helping in the private money space and at hi stay job evaluating risks and returns.  Matt is passionate about personal finance and he follows his own advice, still driving a car from high school :)
