Hi Ty, that’s a great location. We have a few nearby that do very well.
The City of Milwaukee is currently considering some strict regulations that would be very damaging to the short term rental business. A few of us local managers are meeting this evening to discuss and formulate an approach to deter harmful regulations. You can view a recording of the most recent Zoning committee meeting where this issue was discussed here: https://milwaukee.granicus.com/player/clip/4148?view_id=2&am...

This is something the RPA (Rental Property Association of Wisconsin) should maybe get involved, we do a lot of lobbying in Madison for the LTR side. I wonder if the legal committee should pick this up.

@Marcus Auerbach that would be great actually! We have another broker in the group who is in contact with the WRA to get some insight from them on the status of several pending lawsuits related to owner-occupant or primary residence requirements that a handful of municipalities have implemented into their short term rental ordinances, which is something Milwaukee appears to also be leaning toward.
We have an informal coalition started, with a good initial game plan towards developing a series of recommendations to the Zoning Committee at their next meeting in September. I can add you to our contact list for updates if you'd like. There will also be a private facebook group forthcoming.

Okay great, RPA and WRA are usually cooperating, lobbying, funding amicus briefs etc. Please email me what you have and I'll get it to our legal team.
