After a long hiatus, the W2 to Financial Freedom Via Real Estate Investing Meet-Up is back!
We are not a get-rich-quick group! We focus on basic principals for building generational wealth with Real Estate while still working a W2 'day job.'
Whether you are an experienced investor, a beginner, or just curious about real estate investing - come and network with us!
We meet at the classroom at Quest Trust Company, 100 East Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752 at 6:00 - but come whenever you can.
We are strictly for education and networking - nothing is sold. We usually have an educational presentation and then networking. You can pitch your deals to other investors and lenders or just make new contacts.

Freedom From and Freedom For - Thu Jan 19th 6pm - bring a friend!!

We are all enslaved by our past, our present, and our future. But the decisions we make and the actions we take now can free us from our past and prepare us for a free future.

Probably the most important type of freedom is financial freedom. What does financial freedom look like? It is freedom from debt. It is freedom from the need to work daily in a job you don’t like. It is freedom from worry about financial pressure now and in the future.

But even more, it is freedom for spending time with your loved ones. It is freedom for doing the things you want to do. It is freedom to provide for your family and be there for your family, too.

The situation you are in today, whether good or bad, is a result of the decisions you have made and the actions you have taken in the past. Yes, there is also an element of chance and environment involved, but our actions are more important than our situation. Whatever your situation today, there are simple and effective ways to get out of debt and get on the road to financial freedom. You just need to have an effective plan to do it, have people around you who support you in your plan, and have the will to follow through on your plan.

There are probably many plans that might work, but the ones that I have seen work best have had these attributes:

1. They are simple. Complicated plans tend to break down.

2. They are easy. They can be learned by anyone and accomplished by anyone. Hard plans are by definition hard to stick to.

3. They are repeatable. They don’t rely on luck or circumstance.

4. Once set in place, they can ‘run on autopilot’ with little need for maintenance.

5. They have a low barrier to entry. They don’t require a lot of money, education, or skill to start.

There is a plan which I have seen work well for many years and for many people. It has certainly worked for me. That plan is to buy and hold single family rental properties. There are other plans that work, certainly. And there are other things that I have done. But in the long run, buying and holding middle class rental homes has been the most successful strategy I have seen.

There are ways to buy cash-flowing rental homes with little or no money, use the rental income to pay them off, then retire worry-free on the income. It’s also possible to know exactly how many homes you will need to retire, and how long it will take to reach financial freedom using this simple plan.
