TGIF Everyone!

We will be having our next Monthly Meetup, Friday, April 1st, from 5:30 PM (6:00 PM start) onwards at Hops and Hounds (inside room on the 1st floor, directly to the left of the entrance). The educational topic will be: LLCs and Other RE Business Structures, presented by S. Jeffrey Gately of Gately & Morris, P.C. (http://gatelylaw.com/).

Jeff Gately has practiced law in business entities, business transactions and business planning since 1992. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University in 1987 with dual majors in Finance and Information Systems. After working as a computer programmer for two years at USAA, he entered St. Mary’s University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate degree with honors in 1992. During Law School, Mr. Gately served as the Editor In Chief of the St. Mary’s Law Journal. He has been voted one of “San Antonio’s Best Lawyers” by Scene in S.A. Magazine for several years.

Mr. Gately’s approach to business entities and planning is not a “one size fits all” approach. He incorporates a team approach to include the client’s other advisers in decisions as most business decisions can have an impact on multiple areas of a business such as taxes, succession planning, and others. Formation of real estate investment companies and, in particular, series LLCs has become a staple of his practice.

His community activities include service on the Board of Directors of Meating the Need, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to feeding the homeless of San Antonio, and as a Director of Iron Sharpens Iron Ministries. He is married to his high school sweetheart and they have four wonderful boys.
