Section 8/Voucher Program

I am just getting started on my real estate journey. I know of a few people that have put some single family homes in the HUD program for vouchers. They have had mixed results (one person loved it with no issues, and the other one kept getting messed with from the HUD coordinator requiring every little thing to be fixed).

Does anyone have personal experiences putting some single family homes in the program, good or bad?
