Tenant took fridge from rental

I just bought a rental property and one tenant moved out and took the fridge with her saying she bought it. A fridge and stove were included in the sale for each unit. I contacted the prior owner who said he would get back to me but never did. So I contacted my closing attorney who reached out to the sellers attorney but told me that the seller may have “mistakenly input” that into the contract and if so, nothing can be done. Also, they said if the seller did not own the fridge they will likely not reimburse me.

Any advice on what to do next? Thanks in advance
