Basic Differences Between a CPA and Bookkeeper

Honestly, most of the questions I get as a Bookkeeping Professional are tax-specific. I’m always happy to answer but I have to disclaim that, “I’m not a CPA,” and, “You should verify anything I say about taxes with your CPA.” Taxes aren’t exactly where a Bookkeeping Professional’s expertise lies.

Most Bookkeeping Professionals do have some tax knowledge but you should always verify any piece of tax advice with your CPA no matter where it comes from. Please please please ALWAYS VERIFY!
