Application Acceptance question
Hello All! No one seems to be able to answer this questions. Let’s say you have a minimum credit score of 600 to rent a home. A couple or two friends decide to apply. In this situation, one has over the 600 credit score, but the other does not. With that being said, both their incomes are needed to meet the income requirements. How do you handle this? Do you deny them both? Do all applicants over 18 have to meet all the requirements individually? I have been stuck on this on for awhile. Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We average the credit score of all applicants, so a strong applicant pulls a weaker one higher. As far as income requirements, we use total household income which is pretty common.
