Advice for unresponsive tenant in a house hack

Samantha Razo
Posted

Hello, My husband and I have been house hacking our first single family property in Texas and one of our first tenants has been renting out on of the rooms for a few months now and their contract is about the expire. We have reached out to her a few times asking them if they would like to renew however the do not response and we plan on asking her face to face but I just want to get some advice on what are some good steps to take if she doesn't end up responding to us. She has the habit of not responding to us to any text we send.

You need to get formal and fast. Send notice, plan to evict, hopefully its just a lack of communication, but it can go sideways pretty fast.
