Inherited tenant eviction

David Thomas
Posted

Hi Everyone,

I am closing on a MF property in NC in a few days where one of the tenants are being evicted by the current property manager. The property manager won the eviction case couple months ago, but the tenant appealed and a court date is scheduled for Oct 13 (I close Sept 30). The property manager believes that the appeals court will uphold the eviction.

My question is, do I send a landlord introduction letter to this tenant? My introduction letter includes banking information to deposit rent payment and curious to know if they were to make a deposit, would that throw off the eviction?

Any information is appreciated.

Thanks
