Debt Collection & Unpaid Rent

Josh Ward
Posted

Hello All!

We only have a few rentals here in Utah but now that the eviction memorandum is over all the sudden the renters who were very behind on their rent magically left and owe us almost $17,000 total. This is just between 3 doors.

I'm assuming at this point I will send their info and bills to a debt collection agency. Is this a good approach? As you can imagine I cannot get ahold of any of them via phone, email, text.

I live and rent in Northern Utah. Any recommendations on good debt collection agencies or lawyers that specialize in this?

Thanks!
