ADU/Granny unit electricity metering

Hello,

I recently purchased a house in the Houston, TX with an ADU which I've rented out. Currently, the ADU is on the same electric meter as the main house but I'm wondering if there's an affordable way to have it sub metered so I can accurately determine the tenants electricity usage on a monthly basis. I tend to keep my electric usage at a reasonable level but judging based on how my tenants at another property have had the AC set to 70 degrees 24/7 I have a feeling I will end up subsidizing the ADU tenant's electricity usage. I'm only concerned with electric usage.

By the way, I did read several other posts using the search function on BiggerPockets but most of the information was out of state. Hopefully, there's someone in Houston that has some experience here. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
