Family pit bull won’t reside at property

I have a potential tenant that is excellent in person and on paper but has a pit bull. The family states that pit bull will not live at the property but with a family friend.

In the lease agreement it is clearly states “ Pets are not allowed to reside in the Premises, unless written permission is granted by the Landlord before the pet is moved in, which permission may be granted or withheld in the Landlord’s sole and absolute discretion. The granting of consent for pets to others in properties owned by or under management of Landlord shall in no way be considered in the granting of consent to Tenant.”

My concern that because this a family pet they might try to sneak the dog in. Is there anything else I can do to protect myself from liability?
