Desirable furnished rental apt features for South Asians?

I know the East Asian furnished-home-feature desirability checklist (shoe storage at entrance, good rice cooker, good cooktop, exterior venting extraction hood), but is there something I'm missing for a South Asian audience?  I'll be renting heavily to international grad students going forward, so I'd like to make sure I'm accommodating the things that South Asians often find lacking in American rentals.  (Furnished, in this case.)
